Where collaboration brings innovation to lifeā„¢

Akron is one of Ohio's largest cities with almost 650,000 people in the metro area. We are also one of the most accessible being within a 500-mile radius of 42 major U.S. cities.

The Akron BioMedical Corridor's central location - between New York City and Chicago - offers convenient access to North America, Canada and beyond. Part of the larger Northeast Ohio regional economy, Akron is located approximately 40 miles south of Cleveland and is well-served by an extensive network of domestic highways and railservice, plus international air and waterways. It is also located near more than 500 bio-science companies.
